Load shedding calendars

Cape Town load shedding calendars  💡

Why you may want to use these calendars

These electronic calendars show the loadshedding times for selected zones in Cape Town, on repeat every month. With the calendar feed integrated into your calendar app, you will then more easily be able to plan around loadshedding times, in advance (the slots would show up for many weeks into the future). It is not always likely that load shedding will happen, but life is far better if you schedule events in response to load shedding. For example, you can go on a jog during a power outage! 🏃

The Cape Town stage is normally one stage lower than Eskom's stage—please look at @CityofCT on Twitter, to get official information about this (or Facebook).

ℹ️ Higher stages include lower stage slots.

How electronic calendars work  💻

Details about how calendars get shared: https://webapps.stackexchange.com/a/149313/109353

Basically, the iCal address can be tapped on by iPhone users, but Android users have to copy the address, then paste it into "Add calendar > From URL" (on Google Calendar, at least). So, if you are an Android user, please copy the iCal link.  Alternatively, on the web pages, you can click on the blue + button on the bottom-right.
